JKCA has always been known for its biased selection mostly in age group teams. After, the recent appointment of new CEO, it was expected that things will change in JKCA but they are getting worse.
The probable list of Under 23 one-day team which was announced today by JKCA features some unknown names and those who merely have performed while some deserving ones have been sidelined.
Some of the shocking exclusions include Nasir Lone: a talented all-rounder from North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. He is being counted among the top young cricketers of valley and have impressed one and all with his skills.
Another surprising exclusion is that of talented wicket keeper batsman Tahseen Dar who was pretty impressive in recently concluded Cooch Behar Under 19 trophy.
The flamboyant Dar has a tremendous record in junior cricket and was the best candidate for wicket keepers place in the team.
The wicketkeeper picked in his place was part of team in Col CK Naydu trophy and scored just 76 runs in 6 innings.
This biased selection of teams is the reason of terrible results in national outings. JKCA CEO should look into this matter and prevail justice to these talented cricketers.
