Pakistan spinning duo of Yasir Shah and Shadab Khan will be crucial for the side against the New Zealand, stated former chief selector Salahuddin Sallu, as the Men in Green prepare to take on the Kiwis in their backyard next year.
“The role of Shadab Khan and Yasir Shah will also be crucial there as both can run through the sides in their day and are bound to pose problems for the New Zealanders,” said Sallu, while talking to media.
The former chief sector further emphasize on the role of Pakistan batsmen against the opponents. Sallu stated that Pakistan’s top order remains fidgety, which will add further responsibility on the experienced middle order.
Earlier, former skipper Salman Butt, too stated that the Pakistani batsmen would need to score big runs, to give their potent bowling line a solid platform.
“We would need our batting to click in New Zealand, as I believe that the five ODIs will feature high scoring games, and the batting line has to be more effective in order to win then your bowling,” stated Butt.
