In the final of the Kashmir Cup T20 cricket tournament played between Rising Stars Sayedpora and Hunter Strickers Chatterhama at Burzhama Cricket ground Rising Stars emerged as winner by 22 runs.
After winning the toss Rising Star decided to bat first and made 148 runs allout in 20 overs. Shabir and Uzair made 24 and 23 runs respectively.
Chasing the target Hunter Strikers Chatterhama made only 126 runs, losing all their wickets. Aqib made 56 runs and played a good inning for Hunters. Hilal Ahmad of Rising Stars was declared man of the match for taking 5 wickets.
Mehrajudin of Shopribag Loins was declared man of the series for making 170 runs and 9 wickets in the series.
Social Activist, Peer Bilal was the chief guest and distributed trophies, prizes among the players. Muzafar Sahab Chairman BPL, Gh Jeelani of KMP, Hashim Maqdoomi, Aashaq Darbagi, Pir Aaqib and thousands of sports lovers were present on the occasion.
