In an exciting game of cricket DownTown Kings beat Giant United Challengers in the final of Gulf Cup in Dubai.
Downtown Kings won the toss and elected to field. United Challengers got off to poor start as both the openers were send back to hut early. UC managed to score 177 in allotted overs thanks to brilliant innings of 82 off 41 balls by Suhail Zaki who was well supported by Arif Ahmad who scored breezy 30.
For Down town kings Umer Hayat and Muneer Mustafa took 3 wickets each .In reply Downtown Kings achieved target in 18th over .For DK Danish scored lighting 64 runs off 29 balls which took match away from UC .Umer Wali returned back to form with brilliant 50 off 23 balls. Captain Majid Khan scored the winning run and finished the match in Style.
“It was a brilliant performance by DK boys .We were outstanding in all departments and boys gave their best,” said Majid Khan (Captain Downtown Kings).
