Srinagar, Feb 3: J&K Under-23 team that will be playing its Under-23 One Day League knockout match against Mumbai on Sunday can field only three players in playing-XI who have played for senior team this season.
“We have been getting queries from some of the teams that qualified for the Knock Out stage of U – 23 One day Tournament, understandably so as this is the first year this tournament has been introduced, seeking clarification on the no of senior players can be included in the playing XI in the U – 23 team,” BCCI comunique to teams read.
“For the sake of clarity, this is clarified that not more than three players who have played in the XI in the senior team during the current season (either in Ranji Trophy, Syed Mustaq Ali or Vijay Hazare Trophy) are permitted in the playing XI of U – 23 One Day tournament,” it clarified.
