Former wicketkeeper and manger of the Jammu & Kashmir cricket team Syed Parvaiz Qaisar has been appointed as new Chairman (Chief selector) of selection committee for J&K cricket team.
His appointed was made after previous committee lead by Ashwini Gupta was sacked by the committee of administrators who were on Kashmir visit again.
There are other new names who have been added to the committee while the previous selectors who were associated with selection have been sacked.
“There is talk that Mr Ashwini Gupta resigned which not true. Instead he was asked to step down so were other selectors. It was after well thought process that administrators appointed new selectors,” said a JKCA official.
