J&K senior women cricket team captain Meenu Singh Salathia today on Monday said that J&K teams win against Punjab in the senior Women’s T20 league at Chennai will help in the development of J&K Women’s cricket.
“It is another big win for JK women cricket after last year’s first ever win. To beat side like Punjab is not small thing and we have done that. The whole team, players support staff deserve praise for it,” she said.
“Rubia, Sandhya and Bushra exceptionally well but other players also contributed. Apart from that our support staff is great and they keep pushing us hard,” she said.
Meenu said that the win will help in the development of women cricket in JK.
“To be honest we don’t get the facilities and support that should be there for omen cricket. Performances like this will help us to get noted by the administrations and officials. It is wins like these that will help in the development of our cricket,” she said.
