Srinagar, Dec 28: 14th J&K state Wushu championship went underway at Indoor complex MA Stadium jammu. Sh. Waheed Ur Rahman Para was the chief Guest on the ocassion. More than 1000 participants from 20 districts are taking in the championship.

Secretary,lauded the efforts of wushu association of J&K for the prominence of this sports across the state.he congratulated Kuldeep handoo ,Bhanu partap Singh and Rajinder singh for making the country and state proud at world and Asia cup.
He assured that he will establish the state academy for the Wushu in the state soon.
Ranjeet Kalra Member BCCI and JKSSC Presented the welcome address on the occasion.He apprised the secretary and the guests about the achievements of wushu for the year 2017-18.He thanked secretary sports council for accepting invitation to be the chief on the occassion.
The president of the Wushu association of J&K Vijay Saraf presented Vote of thanks. He thanked secretary sports council fir his immense support to wushu, J&K Police,Media and all allied agencies for making the function a grand success.
The dignitaries present on the occasion were Yasir Ahmed chief accounts officer JKSSC, Haji Abdul Qayoom chief sports officer, Chairman Doon International School, Sunil Sharma Vice President wushu, Manager indoor Satish Kumar, Ambedkar Gupta General Secretary karate. Balkar Singh, Kamal Kishore,Lalit Singh, Maqsood Rather ,Nissar Ahmed ,Abhishek Jamwal,Ruchi ,Ashi Jamwal,Sheetal,Atul Sharma and Aiyush.Today sub junior boys and girls fought for the medal tommorow junior boys are girls will play for their yellow metal.The closing ceremony will be held on 30th December 2017 at 4.30 pm.
