There is no one to answer in J&K Cricket Association to why the young talented pacer who is under the watch of national selectors was dropped from J&K Under-19 team.
Mujtaba Yousuf who recently made J&K proud by being part of India junior national camp on the back of his performance in zonal and inter zonal competitions was dropped by JKCA selectors from ongoing Under-19 cooch behar trophy event.
KSW correspondent tried to contact newly appointed JKCA CEO Ashqiue Bukhari but despite repeated attempts he did not responded while as selectors were also not able to be contacted.
In absence of proper JKCA set up there is no one answerable for the acts like this in JKCA. CEO who is aloof to the cricket activities seems busy in waiting for the arrival of Administrators while as selectors are benefitting their parent clubs by taking undue advantage of current situations.
Mujtaba is rare talent who needed to be groomed so that e will be able to see him achieve bigger heights. Instead of boosting his morale these JKCA selectors are wasting this talent. In future he will be main pacer of JK ranji team,” said a senior cricket,
Another senior cricketer said that he never expected selectors to be as selfish as they have turned up in this case.
“Mujtaba has recently returned from India camp. If even his whole campaign ges wrong you need to to keep him in side like senior team did with Ian Dev. You already did injustice with him by not picking him for one dayers and now this is total shock. In whole season junior cricketer gets five to 10 national matches and in that you want to keep player like him out for one dayers for the reason of over expose. Now after that you dropped him from test team,” he said.
