Tarzova: Despite PCC Tarzova defeating Sopore Academy by 51 runs in third and final match of the friendship series on their home soil at Sheikh-ul-Alam ground Tarzova here today, Sopore Academy still clinched the series 2-1.
In first match of the friendship series Sopore Academy had thrashed PCC Tarzova by 33 runs.
The result of the series were clear in the second match of the series as Sopore Academy register second consecutive 14 runs win over PCC Tarzova.
In the third and final match of the series PCC Tarzova defeats Sopore Academy by 51 runs at Sheikh-ul-Alam ground Tarzova after defending a target of 219 runs.
After winning the toss PCC Tarzova set a target of 220 runs for Sopore Academy in alloted overs. Fayaz Ahmad played scintillating knock of 80 runs with 7 sixes and 5 fours while Sajad played a sensible knock of 70 runs and Waseem Wani added 40 runs.
In reply Sopore Academy failed to chase down the huge target of 220 runs fell short of 51 runs and managed to score 168 runs in alloted overs.
Vikas took 3 Crucial wickets for PCC Tarzova and guides PCC to stop the Sopore Academy to register clean Sweep Victory in the friendship series but lost the series by 2-1.
