Taking inspiration from Kashmiri’s in UAE and Saudi Arabia, the cricket crazy Kashmiri’s working in Qatar have decided to start their own league to promote brotherhood and unity among fellow Kashmiris through medium of sports and especially cricket which as a sport has a massive fan following.
“This journey has not been easy but with the efforts of the management committee lead by Sameer Wani, Kalim Ullah Dar and Wasif Iqbal finally the dream of having our own league is being realized as we start from December 15 with four teams participating in the inaugural edition,” Official League statement said.
There will be total of 11 matches played in the league which will be held at Barwa Cricket Grounds Al Khor, it added.
Names four teams along with their Captains.
Sami Ullah (Zabrwan Rangers), 2. Irfan Iqbal (Wular Eleven), 3. Mohammad Aquib (Muzaffarabad United), 4. Arvind Kachroo(Chinar Strikers. It will be 20 overs per side.
