After having being sidelined and not being given the chance to be part of the first selected Ranji Trophy team of the State for this season , Owais Shah made grand comeback by playing crucial role in J&K’s first win of season.
J&K defeated Jharkhand on Sunday by 106 runs to register its first win of the season in Ranji trophy tournament. It was total team effort but still among the batsman who stood apart by consistent performance in both the innings was comeback man Owais Shah.
Not caring about his re-entry into team after a long gap, Shah shined in both the innings. In the first inning he scored fluent 84 run knock while as in second inning again scored 50. While there were two century makers for J&K in the match but overall he emerged as top scorer in the match for team.
Owais had last played Ranji trophy for J&K in November 2016 against Haryana in which he had scores of 3 and 6. He had alst played for J&K in one-day match against Jharkhandh in which he had scored 59.
