Lauding his team for its brilliant display in the win over stronger side like Jharkhand, skipper Parvez Rasool who bagged man of the match said J&K needed this win badly in order to restore the confidence of players.
“We were desperately in need of a win like this and the credit for it goes to whole team. It was total team effort with all contributing in their respective domains. We started season well despite lack of preparations but then went through rough patch. Team was in need of boost like this and I am hopeful that it will help us in reminder of the season,” said Parvez.
Terming the combination with which team went into match as key, he said, “We always knew that whenever our batting will click we will be in a situation like this. In this match we went with eight batsmen and almost all contributed and batsman gave bowlers a total to defend. That helped us to beat team like Jharkhand that boosts some of the high profile names of Indian cricket. It was key decision that we made in this match and it paid its dividends”.
