The collective batting and bowling effort by J&K helped them to get lead of 330 runs on the third day of the Ranji trophy match against Jharkhand at Jamshedpur on Saturday.
In the morning session it was brilliant bowling display by Amir Aziz who took four wickets and Mohammad Mudhasir who took one in the morning and total three wickets helped J&K to restrict the Jharkhand run flow. While these two picked wickets Parvez Rasool played containing role bowling meagerly economic line and length and that did not allow Jharkhand batsman to score quickly. Jharkhand declared their first inning on 292/9 handing J&K lead of 84 runs. For J&K Aziz took four, Mudhasir three and Parvez two.
In batting apart from couple of failures, J&K batsman responded brilliantly putting on 247/7 on board at the end of third days play. Parvez Rasool was star attraction as he scored free flowing 70 off 74 balls. Owais Shah scored 50 off 67 balls. Ahmad Banday earlier scored 47 while as Bandeep Singh scored 44. Punit Bisht is batting on 12 with Aziz on 4.
The opening stand between Shubham Khajuria who got out on 7 was of 37 runs with Banday. After his fall Bandeep with Banday took J&K total past 100 run mark. However at the point four wickets of J&K inning fell within two runs. Then Parvez formed 119 run 6th wicket partnership with Shah to take J&K out of trouble.
