The junior teams of J&K Cricket Association who are on various national level tours are struggling to meet their daily expenses as they are not receiving their daily allowances (DA).
Particularly, players of Under-23 team which is on tour from last more than one month for CK Nayudu trophy is in difficult situation due to lack of money. The players have to bear expenses of their food on their own and as tour is long they are now facing cash crunch.
“It is irony that in State team cricketers have to bear their daily expenses on their own. It has been around one month for us on tour and we have not received single penny from JKCA or BCCI,” said a cricketer.
“Most of us we don’t belong to well off families and can’t ask our family for money again and again. JKCA or BCCI should have taken care of this well in advance. Even to have daily food we are struggling as all of us are almost out of money,” another player said.
