Assam defeated J&K by five wickets in the match of the Under-23 Col CK Nayudu trophy tournament at Goalpara on Sunday.
Assam secured target of 149 runs for the loss of five wickets in second inning. P Sarkar with unbeaten 56 was highest scorer for them.
Earlier J&K in its first inning had scored 144 while as Assam in reply scored 206 runs. In its second inning J&K again were bundled out cheaply 207 runs. Thus setting an easy target for Assam to win.
