A solitary goal by Waseem Makhdoomi handed AG’s Office -XI win over Iqbal Sports in the match Premier-Division football league at Synthetic Turf TRC ground Srinagar on Friday.
Right from the start, the forward lines of the two teams attacked each others goal posts regularly. However, both the teams couldn’t score in the first half which ended with 0-0 scoreline. In early minutes of the second half, Waseem Maqdoomi of Ag’s team opened the account for his team. After conceding a lead of one goal, the Iqbal Sports launched several counter attacks on the opposite goal post. However, Ag’s defenders thwarted their all attempts. When the referee blew the final whistle, the score line was 1-0 in favour of Ag’s XI. Shahnawaz was declared man of the match for his performance.
