J&K got brilliant start to their inning with openers Shubham Khajuria and Ahmad Banday putting on 82 run stand for the first wicket. However with the introduction of Joseph in attack everything changed with JK losing openers in quick succession. J&K then were reduced to 86/4. Parvez Rasool then alongwith Bandeep Singh restored some parity taking J&K score to 139 run. Parvez lost his wicket after scoring 28 and the debutant Asif Khan soon followed getting out for naught. At lunch J&K were struggling on 140/6 with Bandeep at crease on 26.
