In order to involve college students in nature exploring activities the Islamia College physical Education department organised a trekking programme for its selected students to Lidder Valley. The trekking party was flagged off by Principal of the college on 17th of October at 7am. From Aru Pehlgam the party started its trekking expedition to Lidderwath the base camp site.
Next day the college trekkers were taken to Satlanjan, Kolhai glacier base. On Thursday the party went to trekker’s paradise lakes Tarsar Marsar nd more. The party of 16 students and 7 staff under the supervision of Dr. Altaf ur Rehman Director Physical Education of the college returned safe and sound on Friday back from a highly successful hiking expedition for the first time trekking students.
