With everyone questioning the exclusion of the top Ranji cricketer from the shortlisted players for the Ranji trophy tournament it has been revealed that Adil Reshi has been banned by J&K Cricket Association for full Ranji season for ‘manhandling’ trainer Mushtaq Ahmad Rather (Mushi).
In the notice issued by JKCA General Secretary Iqbal Shah on August 28, 2017, it is mentioned that disciplinary committee formed has found Adil Reshi guilty of manhandling Mushtaq Ahmad Rather in which he (Mushtaq) was seriously injured while discharging his official duties as coach/trainer of Under-16 age group at JKCA Ground-B on August-5.
The notice further reads that , committee came to the conclusion that this was shameful act committed by Adil Reshi and he is hereby barred to participate in any cricketing activity conducted by JKCA during the year 2017 including Ranji trophy days format being conducted by BCCI.
In the notice all the cricketers were also asked to maintain discipline and if anyone found guilty of similar conduct would not be spared.
However sources said that Adil Reshi was not even handed over the same notice and only some officials verbally told him that notice regarding your ban has been pasted on Notice board at JKCA. The cricketer hence didn’t even took part in trials.
About the real incident some say that both parties have to share equal blame as Mushi is proven disciplinary offender. But here only Adil has got the punishment while Mushi was given free hand.
