Srinagar, January 16: The seasoned batsman and vice-captain of J&K Cricket team, Shubham Khajuria wouldn’t be available for selection against Punjab in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 tournament at Alur Cricket Stadium Benguluru on Saturday .
Shubham who returned to form in previous match by playing match winning knock for J&K has not been feeling well . As per a report Shubham may have tested positive for COVID-19 and has been isolated from rest of the squad. The report further said that the team underwent further COVID-19 tests which came negative for all.
In Kashmir Sports Watch live pre match live show on Friday evening one of the guest expert Ameek Khan from South Kashmir revealed that Shubham has tested positive for virus and will miss game .
“My sources have told me that Shubham Khajuria will not be playing against Punjab. He was not feeling well ans has tested positive for virus . I pray for his quick recovery ,” Ameek said on live show.
Meanwhile it would be worth noticing who will J&K include in the team to replace Shubham . Will it be return of Ahmad Banday or Usmaan Masood would be handed a chance .
As per latest report Team is currently on its way to venue of the match.
