Jammu, Mar 17: Parwez Ahmad has emerged as champion of the State Cycling Championship in senior category conducted by J&K State Cycling Association at Jammu on Sunday.
Parwez who is one of the top cyclist of State and currently pursuing his study in GNDU Punjab defeated another top rider of State Waheed Ahmad for the title.
In senior above -19 years category, Parvez finished first while as Waheed Ahmed finished second and Aakarshit Pathak third.
In junior 17-18 years category, Mushtaq Ahmed finished first while as Amir Farooq second and Amit Samyal third.
In sub junior 15-16 years category, Anurag Bharti finished first while as Kavyaam finished second and Danish Bashir third.
In Under -14 years category, Shabir Ahmed Dar finished first while as Jehangir Ahmed finished second Adnan finished third.
Dr Ashutosh Sharma Vice President JKOA was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Today championship was declared opened by S. Ravinder Singh, President of the Association in the presence of Panchas and Sarpanchas of the area.
“ I am thankful To my coach Rajesh Kaushik who has been guiding me well and motivating me every time. I also thankful to principal of Celestial Buds High school M Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat for always encouraging me both mentally and financially,” Parwez said.
