Srinagar: Showing off its confidence once again, Pakistan have announced its playing eleven one day before crucial Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 clash against India in Colombo.
In recent times, Pakistan have been announcing playing eleven in advance and the India match is no different.
As expected, there is no change in the Babar Azam lead lineup, which cruised past Bangladesh by seven wickets in their previous encounter.
Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman will continue to open the innings, and they will be followed by Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan’s middle order pillars. Salman Ali Agha, Iftikhar Ahmed, and vice-captain Shadab Khan will bat at Nos. 5, 6, and 7, respectively, while Faheem Ashraf will get another chance to shine ahead of Mohammad Nawaz, who gave up too many runs to India in their previous meeting in the competition.
Meanwhile, the quick pace trio, consisting of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah have retained their place as well.
