National School Games: JK Sqay players shine, bag 23 medals in Goa  

 

Srinagar: J&K Sqay martial art team bagged 23 medals in the recently held National School Games competition at Goa.

The team was received upon its return to Jammu by Director Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad lauded the players for their valuable efforts.

In the event that was organized by School Games Federation of India (SGFI) in Goa from November 4 to 6 JK team bagged 23 medals.

“We hope the journey of excellence will translate into an odyssey for the overall martial arts picture of Kashmir .I applaud you all for your great efforts to make the State proud. DYSS will provide you all opportunities and support to shine on bigger stage,” said Director DYSS while felicitating the players.

In the event the 23 medals, helped JK to bag overall second place for winning 4 gold, 6 silver and 13 bronze. Goa emerged as overall winner.Sqay

Besides Director, Joint Director Kashmir, all the DYSSOs of DYSS, coach and manager of the team Mir Nazir and other senior officials of the Department were also present on this occasion.
