The Arnis national martial art championship 2018-19 concluded at Bhana Singh Stadium, RS Pura, Jammu on Wednesday.Former J&K sports minister RS Chib was the chief guest on the occasion while as Joint Secretary Indian Olympic Association SM Bali and Chief Sports Officer Haji Abdul Qayoom were the guests of honour.In the competition, J&K was declared as overall champions while as Maharashtra bagged second place.In 72 kilogram category, Haranjot Singh bagged gold while as Shrikant Somar from Maharashtra bagged silver and Kailash from Uttar Pradesh bagged bronze. In the 61-kilogram category, Gulzar Ahmad from J&K bagged gold medal while as Prashant from Uttar Pradesh bagged silver and MD Irfan from Maharashtra bagged bronze medal.In the 66-kilogram category, Gobinder from Chandigarh bagged gold while as Manjeet Kumar from J&K bagged silver and Sourab from Maharashtra bagged bronze medal. In 52-kilogram category Khushboo from Haryana bagged gold while as Gouri from Maharashtra and Kumari Depeka bagged silver and bronze medals respectively.
