Budgam, October 27: Friends Motors Wednesday beat Sultania Cricket Club to make it to semi-finals of Narbal Champions Cup, thanks to Aqib Mir’s all-round brilliance.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Friends Motors opted to first bat. They struggled in the first five overs, losing 3 quick wickets. However, Aqib Mir played a sensible knock of 63 runs, helping his team post a par total of 155 runs.
For Sultania, Abid Nabi took 3 wickets.
In reply, Sultania managed to score 147 runs only. It was again Abid Nabi who played a top inning of 67 runs. Amir Aziz also contributed 26 runs.
Tahir anx Amir took 2 wickets each while Aqib Mir scalped 1 for Friends Motors.
Aqib Mir, for 63 runs and 1 wicket, was declared man of the match.
