“It is football mad city and with each game expectations level is rising among the fans. We have fallen short in past but this time they want nothing less than a title. Though we would have liked to finish with one or two more goals in home leg but still win is always sweet that too in front of more 40,000 fans,” Ishfaq told KSW.

After the Mehraj ud Din Wadoo’s side Chennayin FC were knocked out of the title race, Ishfaq’s Kerala blaster’s is the only side left in which a player from valley is representing State.

“We have been in excellent form recently and we are hopeful to proceed further. Fans in Kerala are mad about football and in playoff game almost whole stadium was turned yellow with fans donning blaster  shirts,” he added.
