Kashmir cyclists shine, Teli bags gold, Mansoor bronze

Keeping the progress of cycling’s upward trend continue, two Kashmir cyclists , Adil Teli of Arco cements and Mansoor of  Celestial  Buds High school bagged medals in the ongoing national cycling championship at Aligarh on Saturday.

Lead by International cyclist Muhammad Akber khan, JK team were expected to bag all three medals in the Indian made category. However, the collisions at start line did not help their cause.   Medal hopeful Waheed along with Anzil and Saleem got injured in the collision.

 

However, the remaining three cyclists from the stare in the event, made it sure that Jk finishes off with flying colors. Teli finished first, bagging g gold while as Mansoor finished third, bagging bronze medal.

 

The two time defending champion, Akber who plays for TCI Max had to settle for fourth place and missed medal by a whisker.

It is first time that JK bagged two medals in any single National cycling event. The team is expecting more medals Akber is favorite in couple of events.

Meanwhile Principal Muzzaffar Ah Bhat has congratulated Mansoor  and other riders for their achievement.
