Srinagar, May 4: ICS Whites defeated ICS Oranges in the finals of Islamia college inter-group volleyball tournament final at Isamia College campus ground here on Saturday.
In the final Whites defeated Oranges by 2-1 sets. Prof. Shamim Ahmed Shamim was introduced to the players before the start of the match. At the concluding function Principal of the college Prof. Yaseen Ahmed Shah gave away trophies to the winners and the runner up team. He stressed the students to take the sports as well as the studies seriously for overall personality development.
ICS Whites defeated ICS Oranges in the finals of Islamia college inter group finals to lift the inter group Volleyball Championship 2019 here at Islamia College Volleyball Courts today. The keenly fought final was won by the whites group by 3:2 sets. At the start Prof. Shamim Ahmed Shamim was introduced to the players before the start of the match. Hundends of the students watched the final match and cheed for their favourite teams. In the end Prof. Yaseen Ahmed Shah the Principal gave away the trophies to the winners and the runner up team. He stressed the students to take the sports as well as the studies seriously for overall personality development.
The tournament was irganised by the department of Physical education if the college.
Next week the department is organising inter group Football for its students.
