Srinagar, July 22: J&K cricketer, Manzoor Dar, has said that he never got opportunity to bat up the order, hence couldn’t make a case after his IPL stint.
Dar was picked by Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2018 Auction, however, he wasn’t provided a chance in any of the matches before getting released ahead of the next season.
Disappointed with how he was treated by his home team post the IPL stint, Manzoor said he mostly played down the order.
“When I was with KXIP, I shared the dressing-room with some of the greatest cricketers. After the stint ended, I played in the Vijay Hazare and the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournaments but never got the opportunity to bat up the order.” Manzoor AKA Pandav told India.com in an interview.
“Lower down the order, you do not get to play many balls and hence your scope of flourishing diminishes. Hence, I feel I have not got what I deserved.”
Manzoor is known for his hitting abilities, however, the cricketer hasn’t really been consistent enough with his performances in both Syed Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Though it’s pertinent to mention that he has mostly batted down the order and been in and out of the team.
