GDC Magam conducts cycle race

The Govt Degree College (GDC) Magam organized its annual cycle race for boys on Monday, April 8-2019.

The race was flagged off jointly by the college Physical Director Dr. Ujwala Koche and Dr.Sameer Farooq (Sports convener), Dr.Zaheen Maqbool, Dr. Kifayat from  Magam market and it culminated at Magam chowk after all cyclists  returned from Dobhiwan covering a distance of 12-Kilometres, a college statement said. Around 35 students participated in the event. 

Syed Majid of B.A 1st sem, Muzamil Hussain of B.A 1st sem and Mubashir Gul of B.A 4th semester bagged first, second and third positions respectively. The three cyclists will be representing college in annual inter college cycle race.

Asst.Prof Dr Jigmat of Kashmir University and ace cyclist of J&K Akber Khan were also present on the occasion.

Akbar shared some valuable tips with the cyclists before the start of race. The race concluded smoothly with full cooperation from JK health and JK Police department.
