Srinagar: Amid continuous rain threat in Colombo due to prediction, the India vs Pakistan high voltage Super 4 match of Asia Cup 2023 match is going to have a reserve day.
As per report in ESPNCricinfo it is going to be the only match apart from the final to have a reserve day.
“The change to the playing conditions was announced by PCB, advising spectators to hold on to their tickets should a reserve day be required,” report said.
For both the matches with a provision for a reverse day, efforts will be made to complete the match on the original day even if it means shortening the contest. If the reserve day is triggered, the duration of the contest will remain the same as on the last ball of day one, report said.
A rain threat hangs over the India vs Pakistan match on Sunday, too, with up to 90% chance of precipitation.
Rain had earlier forced abandonment of India vs Pakistan group match and also affected India vs Nepal match.
