Continuing his dominance in the annual Celestial Buds Cycling championship International cyclist of Kashmir Mohd Akber Khan cruised to victory in the hard fought battle for the third consecutive time at Narbal on Sunday.
Akber who plays for TCI Max finished first by a whisker ahead of Waheed Ah Ganai of Celestial Bids Team. Saleem of Arco Cements finished third. Adil Teli of Arco finished fourth and Parvaiz of Celestial Buds finished fifth.
In the Indian made category, Tawheed of Celestial Buds, Aqib Ah and Shabir Ahmad bagged first second and third positions respectively.
“I feel very happy on seeing cyclists of my area giving very tough fight to me.It will help us to achieve medals at National level . I m also thankful to Muzaffer Sahab for sponsoring events. Riders will now meet in next race Pedal against drugs in next week,” Akber said.
Principal Celestial Buds Muzaffer Ahmed was chief guest on the occasion while as Director Sports Islamia College Dr Altaf ur Rehman, veteran sports administrator Nisar Hussain and former athlete Gulzar Khan were guest of honors.
