Young Iqbal beat SFA-XI by 4-0, Malik hails Wadoo lead academy team

A hattrick by Zaid and a goal from Waseem Dar helped Young Iqbal beat State Football Academy (SFA)-XI by 4-0 goals in the match of super division league on Monday. While hailing his side for the win, Chairman Iqbal Sports Bashir Malik lauded the effort from the young budding footballers of SFA.young iqbal

“They did well against our players and in future many of the SFA will turn out as Stars. However, I think instead of concentrating on win, SFA players should look at the matches in the League as an opportunity to earn exposure and experience. Winning and to win medals should not be their priority,” Malik said.

“Future of our football rests on this State run football academy as it is the only properly run football academy in entire State. Under able hands of International star Mehraj ud Din Wadoo academy is doing fine job in training our future stars. Wadoo is the person who remains on field from morning to evening and I think academy will remain academy only till the time he is there to monitor things. Since 2005 we have got too many AFC coaches but none did the job like what Wadoo is doing. Rest are busy in their own promotion,” he said.
