KSL 2026 set for bigger second season

The Kashmir Super League 2026 is building on the momentum generated by its inaugural season, with the organisers aiming to take the competition to a larger platform while strengthening the professional football ecosystem in the region.

A key focus of the league continues to be the development and promotion of local football talent. The competition provides Jammu & Kashmir footballers with an opportunity to play in a structured franchise-based league, gain valuable competitive experience and showcase their abilities before a wider audience.

The second season is expected to feature stronger franchise participation, greater fan engagement and a renewed focus on establishing the Kashmir Super League as a major football platform in Jammu & Kashmir.

Five franchises confirmed

The confirmation of New JK United FC means that five franchises are now officially part of KSL 2026, with one final franchise slot still available.

The organisers are expected to complete the six-team lineup ahead of the second edition as preparations for the league gather pace.

The KSL continues to enjoy the support of several partners, including Khyber Cement as the title partner and Athwas Retail & Athwas Hyundai as the powered-by partners.
