Belgian star Eden Hazard delivered some praise towards Real Madrid, suggesting that he’d still like to join the club even now after his idol Zinedine Zidane has left.
“It is true that Zidane is special but Madrid makes everyone dream. With or without Zidane, Madrid’s shirt is special. But I’m also doing well in blue so staying wouldn’t bother me,” said Hazard to BeIN Sports.
“I’m fine at Chelsea and, for now, nobody has presented me with an offer,” he added.
Hazard’s contract expires in 2020 and it seems that Real Madrid would need to spend big money to sign the winger after how well he has performed in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. However, Los Blancos will surely have the money to complete such a deal if Cristiano Ronaldo ends up joining Juventus as expected, so Hazard might indeed be on Real’s radar to replace the Portuguese attacker this summer.
