In a major development that is going to push the popularity of SnowShoe sport in J&K and India further up, Kashmir athlete has featured in a special programe of Italian TV channel, Icarus Sky
Gulzar Ahmad Khan of Budgam district of J&K who was part of Snowshoe team to Italy for the World SnowShoe Championship has featured in special one minute 41 seconds video on Italian channel , Icarus Sky Sport.
World SnowShoe championship this year was held as part of La Ciaspolada annual snowshoe race. It was held in Val di Non Trentino region of Italy. Athletes from more than 29 Countries took part in the event. From India four member team all belonging to Kashmir were there. In the programe Gulzar is heard saying that it is tough for the athletes of Kashmir to get European Visa and he is hopeful that in future no such problem would be faced by Kashmiri athletes.
