Waheed Para inaugurates National Soft Tennis Championship

Srinagar, June 27: The 13th Junior National Soft Tennis championship for boys and girls was today inaugurated here in Gindun stadium by Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra.soft tennnis national
The event being the first of its kind in Srinagar, is being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Soft Tennis Association under the auspicious of The Amateur Soft Tennis Federation of India and is sponsored by the J&K State Sports Council. The championship will conclude on June 30 and 360 players from 23 states including J&K are participating in the championship.
The event was formally declared open by the Ex Secretary, J&K State Sports Council, Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra during a colourful inaugural ceremony held in Gindun Stadium this evening.
Nazir Ahmad, Joint Secretary Sports Council, Haji Abdul Qayoom, Chief sports officer, Nuzhat Ara, Div sports officer, Nusrat Gazala, sports officer Central, Prof BA Shah and Rouf Tramboo, senior members of the Council, J K Khodadhra, Executive director ASTFI along with other dignitaries and guests were present on the opening ceremony.
