Virat Kohli has redefined fitness as far as the Indian cricket is concerned. The levels of fitness he has achieved, have now become a professional requirement for any young cricketer.
But initially, that wasn’t the reason why he started such a strong fitness regime.
“Eventually, you realise that it does so much good to you in terms of your mental state, in terms of how you feel and how much more you can do.
“It is not confined to just sport because even in a work scenario as well, if you are fit, you will be able to work more and achieve more. You will be able to be more productive because if you lack energy you will not be as productive as you should be.
While it has become a routine for Kohli, he insists maintaining high fitness has now become a part of his life style, and will stay with him even after he is done with professional cricket.
“Now, I don’t do fitness to look good but to stay fit and obviously, I have professional requirements as well. But even after that (cricket), I don’t think it will change and will become a life style,” Kohli insists.
The Indian launched his formal footwear brand One Eight Select, and promises more innovations in future.
“One Eight Select is an effort towards the formal segment of my style, which is to provide people with the attire that I would like to wear. Not just garments but shoes and socks that can be paired with any form of garments. The idea was to keep it affordable and stylish. Its an exciting start,” said Kohli.
