U-14 Football: Khanam’s School, DR AGM City School lift titles

The Under-14 Football Talent Hunt Tournament 2017 concluded today at the Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar. The finals were played in which Khanams Public Sr. Secondary School defeated Mallinson Girl’s High School by 3-2 and lifted the winners  trophy. In the boys final Dr. A.G.M’s City School, Nawgam defeated Kashani Memorial Public School, Gulab Bagh by 3-1 and won the trophy.

This tournament was organized from 18th April by CRPF in collaboration with Distt. Youth Services & Sports, Srinagar in which 32 teams of boys and 08 teams of girls from various schools participated. The CRPF is sponsoring this tournament as per the guidelines of MHA, GoI. R. D. Sahi IG CRPF Srinagar Sector was the Chief Guest and Dr. Shafqt Khan Commissioner SMC  was the Guest of Honour in the closing ceremony. Both the dignitaries presented the trophies to the winners & the runners up teams. Mementos were presented to the officials of Distt. Youth Services & Sports Dept.    CRPF u-14 football

While addressing the players and the guests  IG CRPF highlighted the importance of sports in our life and encouraged the youth for more participation in sports rather than being misguided and involve in anti social/national activities.  VS Pandey Comdt. 132 Bn CRPF while giving the vote of thanks applauded the cooperation and support extended by sports authorities, media and the young players for making the tournament a grand success.
