Three Bangladesh players were fasting in their historic match against South Africa, reveals captain Mortaza

Srinagar, June 3: Three Bangladeshi players were fasting yesterday as the Men in Green created history by defeating South Africa in their first World Cup match, revealed captain Mashrafe Mortaza.

Mortaza while speaking at the post-match press conference said that it was a proud moment for him as Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad and Mehidy Hassan were fasting during the match,
“I’m proud of Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz as they were fasting and played at their best today,” Mortaza said.

It was the second time when Bangladesh cruised past Proteas in the World Cup. With this win, they surely would be on top of the world. After this special performance, people have started expecting more from this Bangladesh side.
Meanwhile, it was second straight defeat for South Africa, who next faces India on June 5.
