Srinagar: Keeping his dominance in the cycling arena of State intact, TCI Max’s Unstoppable Akber Khan cruised to victory in the Budgam Cycling championship of JK Police with total dominance over his closest rival Adil Teli of Arco Cements at Budgam on Tuesday.
Akber of TCI Max cruised to victory with three minutes of lead against his closest rival Teli. Akber finished first with the timing of 55:17 while as Adil Teli finished second with timing of 59:45. Waheed Ahmad of Celestial Buds finished third with the timing of 59:46 while as Mansoor Ahmad of Celestial Buds finished fourth with the timing of 60:10.
With Akber getting clear lead of around one and half kilometer, competition was restricted for next three places. In that Teli finished ahead of Waheed with just one second.
Akber has been dominating the arena for quite some time. He recently finished first in Cyclothon held on boulevard road as well. Before that he bagged third place in Chandigarh Cyclothon.
Apart from that he is the only International cyclist of J&K. He is the only double national gold medalist of State. He is also the only cyclist from J&K state to have won two medals in All India Inter-University Competition.
SSP Budgam, Abdul Waheed Shah was chief guest on the occasion and distributed prizes among the winners.
