International cyclist of State, Akber Khan has been hailed by TCI Max for getting state Award that was announced on Friday.
J&K Government has announced the State Awards for 31 persons in various fields. The list also includes 11 players for their outstanding contribution in the field of Sports. Akber became first cyclist of JK to be nominated for the Award.
“We at TCI max feel it proud that our player has been coffered State Award. It is the recognition of his achievements in the field of Sports,” Director Tramboo Cement Industries, Waseem Ahmed Tramboo.
“We will continue our support to Akber and congratulate him for the award,” he said.
Akber has dedicated the award to the people of Narbal, Kawoosa and Kanihama areas for supporting him.
“Without the support from the people of these localities I would not have been able to achieve anything. It is because of the support from my people that I have been able to win so many things during my career so far. Because of the people of the area cycling has became so popular in our area. I dedicate this award to my people and it is their award,” Akber said.
