Star footballer Wadoo traines local players

Srinagar, July: With International footballer and one of the star face of Indian football arena Mehraj ud Din Wadoo available in City to train the budding footballers, players who have got the chance to train under him, term it a dream c ome true moment.wadoo-camp-1

 

Apart from being a star footballer, who has achieved number of milestones at International and national level football, Mehraj is also known as one who possess a thinking mind in the game. He is regarded highly among the football circles for his knowledge about the game and also about how to move forward. Currently in Valley for seasonal break, Wadoo is likely to join back Indian Super League (ISL) side Chennaiyin FC in August-September.

Meanwhile for a time being, while being available in city, Wadoo on the request of his parent club Iqbal Sports has started training budding footballers of State at SP College Ground. The camp has been going on at the venue from last 10 days. In the camp not only Iqbal Sports players train, but footballers from Food and Supplies and other teams have also joined. It has been more than a week now that Wadoo has been training these footballers who number around 60. All these players are club level players, but had hardly got chance to train under star like Wadoo. It is first time for most of these players to learn from the experienced player like Wadoo and they are terming it Dream come true.

“He has got abundance of knowledge and we are lucky to get training under him. Not every day one gets a chance to train under Star like Wadoo and for me it is dream come true moment,” said Food and Supplies footballer.

Iqbal Sports player, Ghulam Muhammad said that he got new things learn under Wadoo and he hopes that camp continues in Ramdhan month as well.

“I am happy to be training under Mehraj Bhai who is showing us new things of the game. Not only does he train us in the art of the game but also emphasis on various train in schedules,” he said.

Another player who hail from AG’s Office and train at SP College under Mehraj said that the level of training of Wadoo is of highest standard.

“It is different training method than what we have been doing. He has got loads of experience of playing at highest level in Country and knows about the game and its technicalities very well. I am thankful to Iqbal Sports for roping him to train footballers in which they have allowed anyone who intends to train,” said Uzair.

Chairman Iqbal Sports, Bashir Ahmad Malik said that camp will have halt for first week of Ramadhan and will be started again after that.

“Mehraj is always eager to contribute back to the society. Whenever he is available in Valley, he comes and joins our team in training. We handover our training job to him and he accepts that readily. This time we made it open session in which all club level players of any team are allowed to take part,” Malik said.

“The training will stop for first week of the Ramadhan and after that training will resume in evening session at same venue,” he added.
