The two day District Srinagar Thang-Ta Championship-2017 was declared open by Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Anjum Fazili Govt. Women’s College Nawakadal, here on Tuesday.
The championship is organized by District Srinagar Thang-Ta Association and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council. In the event around 400 players both boys and girls are participating. Anjum Fazili who was chief guest on the opening ceremony assured full support to the Association for the development and promotion of Thang-Ta sports.
Principle Women’s College Nawa Kadal Rifat Gillani was the guest of honour. She said that she was delighted to see the performance of the young girls.
President Nisar Hussain Gillani, General Secretary of the Association and Other guests and official were also present on the function.
