In a major development, Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council accorded sanction of funds in favour of Deputy Commissioner Leh (Ladakh) for meeting the expenditure on procurement of furniture for sports council sub office Leh.
Furthering on, Secretary Sports Council said that the Government is committed to promote sports activities in every nook and corner of the State.
“sports are imperative for overall personality development of youth as it help in inculcating discipline among them,” he added.
The sanctioning of funds for Leh is to create adequate sports infrastructure to provide youth an opportunity to excel in their field, informed an official of the Sports Council.
