Srinagar: Despite Pakistan skipper being amoung the top run getters in T20I Cricket in the year 2022, former India opener Aakash Chopra has left him out of his top five list.
Aakash Chopra hailed Virat for his batting in the shortest format of the game. He picked Suryakumar Yadav, Mohammad Rizwan, Virat Kohli, Sikandar Raza and Devon Conway as his top 5 batters in 2022.
“Sorry, I can’t take Babar Azam in my team. He should have been the number 5 batter but I am not taking him. He accumulated 735 runs in 26 matches and his average was only 32 and strike rate 123. Devon Conway was a far better option. He could have become the number one batter had he played more matches,” he said.
