SNW Tourney: VBC Magam stuns KCC Kanispora in nail-biter

Baramulla, June 02: VBC Magam on Tuesday defeated KCC Kanispora in a close encounter in the ongoing 16th Edition of SNW Memorial Cricket Trophy.

Batting first, KCC Kanispora won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored a par total of 145 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Ashiq was the highest scorer with 61 while Imran also chipped in with a 24-run cameo.

For the opposition, Shahriyar scalped 3 while as Arif Hussain, Arif Wani and Farooq ran way with one wicket each.

In reply, VBC Magam chased down the target in the last over of the match with the help of Salman and Mudasir’s quickfire 47 and 38 runs, respectively.


In the last four overs, VBV Magam needed 46 runs to win with 3 wickets in hand. Salman kept calm and mashed stunning 47 runs off just 26 balls, involving 3 sixes, and 4 fours, helping VBC qualify for the next round.

Salman was later adjudged as man of the match for his vital innings.
