Srinagar: Valley’s top alpine skier Arif Khan, has been selected to represent India in the Asian Winter Games scheduled to be held at Japan in February.
Arif is an ace alpine skier of the State who has won number of medals at National level. He has been regularly participating International Ski Championships including FIS races at different ski resorts around the World.
Arif has been skiing aggressively since his childhood. His father, Yaseen Khan has been a veteran skier while his younger brother is a top snowboarder of the state.
Arif last year performed brilliantly in World Ski Championship held in USA and qualified for final run for the first time.
Winter Games Association of J&K on the occasion of its AGM meet felicitated Arif and was presented with the award for his excellent achievements.
