
Having now been missing for more than six days, the search for missing local Kashmir Trekker in Naranag-Gangbal area will be intensified on Thursday.
Hilal Basit, an MBA pass out from Kashmir University, had planned to visit Kolsar Lake in the vicinity of Gangbal Valley, a 13KM trek (6 hours) from Naranag along with 4 other trekkers.
However, midway, Hilal due to being tired had allowed other members to proceed on to Kolsar while as he waited. After one and half hour, group while coming back from lake couldn’t found Hilal at the spot. Since than he has been missing despite search efforts by Police, JKMHC members, local Bakerwals and his family members.
His family has been stationed during all these days at Naranag and have been making efforts to the trace and get any clue about the guy.
Now in a last ditch effort, SDRF along with JKMHC members, Police, locals will intisify search on Thursday. They will be searching through different places in order to get any clue.
Teams will be searching Mahlish top, Dumail Forest and Truntkoul areas. One team will be go through Dumail forest srea while as another from Kolsar lake will go towards Mahlish top and over to Chattergul.
Meanwhile his family members had held protest on Wednesday in press enclave Srinagar requesting Administration to speed up efforts.
